MTV Video Music Awards and...Al Gore?

During last night's MTV Video Music Awards, which was apparently very boring, our nation's foremost (and my favorite) environmentalist (please note I am using extreme amounts of sarcasm here) decided that an awards show had something to do with the environment: he lectured about global warming and showed numerous before and after pictures of melting glaciers. Despite the fact that MTV and their Rock The Vote campaign are largely irrelevant on the political scene, their ideological slant nonetheless leans heavily in the direction of the former Vice President. Still, this is an awards show, for music videos, not a campaign commercial, political convention, or speech opportunity.

Let's see how the media treats this one.
