Man fatally shot in West Baltimore

A 20-year-old man was fatally shot Friday night in West Baltimore, police said.
About 10:12 p.m., police responding to a report of a shooting the 2000 block of Baker St. in the Easterwood community, found the man, whom police did not identify, with multiple gunshot wounds in the neck and head. He was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:17 a.m.
Police reported that they had identified no immediate suspects or motive for the killing.
Police were also investigating a nonfatal shooting that took place in West Baltimore early Saturday.
The article also notes that "[w]ith the killing in the Easterwood community, the city's homicide tally for the year remains on track with last year's total. There were 147 killings as of Friday night, compared with 149 at the same time last year."
