When women run against women for governor

Women have run against each other for governor four times:

New Mexico, 2010: Susana Martinez (R) vs. Diane Denish (D)
Oklahoma, 2010: Mary Fallin (R) vs. Jari Askins (D)
Hawaii, 2002: Linda Lingle (R) vs. Mazie Hirono (D, now Senator-Elect)
Nebraska, 1986: Kay Orr (R) vs. Helen Boosalis (D)

Interestingly, but probably of little significance due to the small sample size, in all four of these cases, the Republican woman defeated their Democratic woman opponent.
