Jack addict

If you have watched at least a few episodes of Fox's TV show 24, you are probably addicted. I know I am. From the first episodes of Season 1 I have faithfully watched the show through five seasons. The first three seasons I was away from home for at least parts of the season and thus watched by DVD--which is the easier method by far. How else can you find yourself watching the entire season (24 hour long episodes) in the matter of a few days? Season 4 was the first that I watched entirely week-to-week, and it was incredibly painful as the show's writers are way too good at cliffhanger suspense designed to draw you back the next week wanting more. I watched most of Season 5 that way too, and finished it off with episodes from iTunes (military deployments tend to wreak havoc on family life and TV watching schedules).

The Emmy Awards have largely snubbed '24' in the past. Finally though, Season 5 was the breakthrough. Kiefer Sutherland won for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. The show won Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.

In the Creative Arts awards, '24' took home two more: Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series and Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Dramatic Underscore).
