Police say a man's body was found in the woods across from the entrance to the Laurel Park racetrack.
Anne Arundel County police Lt. Michael Brothers says a person in the woods came across the body around 10:30 Sunday morning and called police.
Brothers says the body was found about 400 yards from the road in an area where homeless people are known to camp.
The man had suffered apparent head trauma, and homicide detectives are investigating. Police haven't identified the body.
